A 30 × 18 metre hall with a sprung sports floor, futsal goals and netted walls and roof for box cricket. Air-conditioned and rain-proof, so the game goes ahead in the monsoon.
Which game?
Futsal or box cricket
Futsal
5-a-side, fast and technical
The indoor cousin of football: a smaller, heavier ball and no walls in play.
- 5 players a side, rolling subs
- Futsal goals and a size 4 ball
- Non-marking indoor shoes
Box cricket
6-a-side, every ball counts
Short, sharp innings with a tennis ball, where the nets and roof are part of the game.
- 6 players a side, 6 overs each
- Bats, tennis balls and stumps included
- House rules printed by the door
The arena is booked by one group at a time, so a futsal booking and a box cricket booking never overlap.
